The Ionian-Salentino C.A.G. – where C.A.G. stands for Coastal Action Group – keeps on sensitising people on balanced diet based on seasonal fresh fish, and, in general, about the virtuous relation with the sea and its products. The new event entitled “The poor food of the Mediterranean sea”, and scheduled Friday 25, at 7 p.m., in Piazzale Alcide De Gasperi in Porto Cesareo, starts with the opening of the “Info Point C.A.G.” pavilion. Later a gastronomy festival dedicated to street food will take place, where people can freely taste local seasonal fried fish.
Actually, the bluefish will be the real protagonist of the night: perhaps not everyone knows that the bluefish is as important for health as the most popular species – though cheaper than the latter.
Stefano Nuzzo - celebrated as “a rare interpreter of Salento’s tradition”, and whose restaurant, La Piazza in Poggiardo, is recommended by the Slow Food Guide to Traditional Places to Eat in Italy – will be the night's chef.
